Our photographers work to high standards, which means that sometimes things have to be moved around to get the best shot. They are both very friendly and more than happy to get stuck in, but it’s often easier if you prepare your property for photos before our visit. Here are some tips on what you can do.
It’s surprising what appears in photographs, so we recommend giving your home a quick tidy before the photographer arrives. A deep clean isn’t necessary, but a simple once-over can make a big difference. Tidy away clothes, paperwork and visible wires, dust surfaces and store away cleaning products. Wipe windows, mirrors and shower screens, clean the kitchen and clear cluttered worktops. Don’t forget outdoor areas: sweep leaves, tidy furniture and move cars from the driveway.
We love seeing personality in people’s homes, as décor often attracts buyers online. However, some personal items are best put away, including family photographs, large collections of trinkets or ornaments and children’s toys.
One way we stand out from other estate agents is by taking feature shots of your home. These highlight fixtures, fittings and decorative details that add to the overall feel of the property. Simple touches can help, such as setting the dining table, adding fresh flowers, filling a fruit bowl and arranging garden furniture.

The goal is to present a clean, bright and welcoming home that allows buyers to imagine their own lives there. A tidy space with a few thoughtful touches can significantly improve both photography and the viewing experience.
